ELAINE PACKETT
Elaine Dean Packett, 69, of Warsaw, went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2025. Elaine was a hard working nurse who was caring, sweet and full of life. She was nominated multiple times for the Daisy Award for outstanding nursing at Riverside Tappahannock Hospital during her time there. She loved caring for others in the community and was a beloved nurse by many. Elaine had a beautiful smile that lit up a room and loved gathering with friends and family. She enjoyed working in her yard, the beach, reading, and all holidays especially Christmas. Known as “EE” to her grandchildren, she loved her family most of all.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Packett Gillions (Rob) of Warsaw; her son, Christopher Packett of Weatherford, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Grace and Kate Gillions and Ryan and Benjamin Packett; her sister, Glenda Walker (Bill) of Lancaster, and her sweet pup, Deanie. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Marjorie Dean.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Warsaw Baptist Church, with Reverend Leslie Park officiating.
