A. CONRAD BAREFORD III
Allen Conrad Bareford III, Conrad or Rad to those who knew him well, of Mathews, Virginia passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
He was born on December 31st, 1966, in Richmond to the late Allen Conrad Bareford, Jr. and Susan Bareford-Prince. He is preceded in death by his father and his sister, Su-Anna Bareford.
Conrad is survived by his mother and his brothers, Christopher Maury Bareford and his wife Bea, Christian Durham Bareford and his wife Kelly, and Jason WInn Bareford, along with 9 nieces and nephews, and his long time friend and housemate Nancy J. Ellett.
Conrad was admitted to the Bar of Virginia in 2009 and moved to Mathews in 2016. Bareford Law Offices was located on Court Street in Mathews. An active member of the Mathews community, he served on the Mathews Economic Development Authority, Mathews Main Street Committee, the Mathews Lions Club, and was a past president of the Middle Peninsula Bar Association.
Conrad also enjoyed fishing and loved dogs, particularly boxers. He rescued boxers and became the owner of many beloved boxers over the years.
A memorial service will be held at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Cobbs Creek on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10 a.m.
